Best Dinner In Central Iowa by Cooper Steeples
Fuddruckers is a restaurant in West Des Moines. Their headquarters is in Houston, Texas. Inside it is like a 1960s dinner. Just don't sit in the booths, there are air conditioners near it. You get your fruits and vegetables in the produce area. There menu isn't at all that complicated and I will link the PDF file with this article. There food is really good. There burgers aren't at all that big either. Every Tuesday it is kids menu free night with a drink, main course, and a side. They have amazing shakes too! With the kinds of Vanilla, Chocolate, Oreo, Strawberry, and Peanut Butter! As of December 6th, 2018, they have a Apple Pie shake. Come out to West Des Moines and eat here once!
Five Guys Restaurant Review
Ethan Osborn, May 6, 2016
SAN DIEGO- Five Guys is a national burger chain. I recently ate at their San Diego location. However, not everyone knows about Five Guys and with one coming to West Des Moines, I thought I would spread the word.
There are eight burgers, four hot dogs, and four sandwiches, all with unlimited toppings. In all, there are over 250,000 possible combinations. They also had two different kinds of fries, and a Coca-Cola Freestyle machine that has 100+ drink options. As you are waiting for your food, you can snack on peanuts. For dessert, they have ten different shakes to choose from(including bacon).
“ ‘Fresh’ is the word that best describes the flavors of this burger”, said the OC Register, California. I totally agree. As you walk in, you can actually see the bags of peanuts and potatoes that they use to make the food. Also, Five Guys doesn’t have any freezers, so you know their food is fresh.
However, there is one negative about Five Guys: it is really, really unhealthy. But if you don’t mind gaining a pound from lunch, Five Guys is the best fast food option for you.
The new location will open on Halloween in the Paradise Pointe retail development at 64th Street and Mills Civic Parkway, West Des Moines.
Brick Street: Best Place in Town
by Caleb Meyer
A local hotspot in Bondurant is the Brickstreet Café. Started by the Lohse family, the Brick Street Market was created because of how expensive groceries were at the local gas station, which was the only place to run errands. Mrs. Lohse decided that if they ever won the lottery, they were going to make a local grocery store, so they did. This included a restaurant. They recommend the tenderloin, since it was ranked 2nd best in the county. Some additions that might be added to the Café would be making it bigger, but that would mean needing a bigger kitchen. They don’t deliver, but they still have a drive through. The original Brickstreet started 20 years ago, and now’ is still a fun place to go. So stop by and try it out sometime!
